3-day Annual Crime Meeting of District Srinagar concludes in DPL Srinagar | KNO

Srinagar, December 26 (KNO) : IGP Kashmir Shri Munir Ahmad Khan had an interaction with the officers of District Police Srinagar on the concluding day of 03 day "Annual Crime Review Meeting of District Police Srinagar". The 3-day annual crime review meeting of District Police Srinagar began on 23rd December, 2017 in the DPL Srinagar and concluded on 25th December, 2017. All City SPs, SP Headquarter Srinagar, SP PC, SDPOs, DySP HQ, DySP DAR Srinagar, CPOs of Courts, and all SHO's/DOs of District Srinagar participated in the annual crime review meeting. In the meeting, IGP Kashmir Shri Munir Ahmad Khan had interaction with the officers of District Police Srinagar. He stressed on the synergy & better coordination among different units of the police for better results and people friendly policing. He also stressed on the need for quality investigation and essence of better management of human and material resources. IGP appreciated the working of Srinagar police on various fronts & stressed on officers to remain sensitive to the welfare of police force working under strenuous conditions. The officers had thread-bare discussion regarding working of Srinagar police on all fronts including investigation, crime disposal, complaint disposal, Law & order & other issues. Till mid December of 2017, overall 2666 Cases have been registered in various police stations of Srinagar. A total of 2714 cases including the ones from previous years have been concluded on merits. SSP Srinagar appreciated the role of Srinagar police in the conduct of peaceful parliamentary election & overall disposal of cases as well as disposal of issues related to Public Service Guarantee Act like verifications etc. It was well appreciated that Welfare of the police personnel has been given top priority & modernisation of police on all fronts like infrastructure has gained momentum this year. The road-map & preparations for the peaceful year 2018 was also discussed in detail. SSP Srinagar stressed upon the participants to speed up the investigation of all the pending cases to reduce the overall pendency. He stressed upon the officers to maintain discipline & follow SOP's while dealing with law and order situations.(KNO)
